We love Springfield. We are grateful to belong to this place. The center of our life together is not the town, and it is not the pastor. It is the Word of God.
Springfield Baptist was planted by First Baptist Church of Bellevue. A handful of families established a Baptist work here in 2012 because they wanted a church in this town, and partners for the gospel in the Omaha metro.
Years later the congregation nearly closed. In September of 2021 two fellowships were joined: the remaining Springfield body and a core group seeking to plant. The church constituted its membership in May of 2022. We are open. We would be glad for you to worship with us on Sunday.
We gather to hear Scripture, to pray, to sing, and to sit under exposition. Sometimes we preach a topical series. Most of the time we stay in a book until we finish it. The point is not a preacher’s agenda. The point is that Christ is proclaimed from the text.
